I have always enjoyed my sports especially surfing, snowboarding, swimming and sailing.  At the same time working in a busy and at times stressful business environment, always driving myself to the limit.

More recently I made a life change, and for the last 15 years I have been working with disadvantaged and people with disabilities.

Ian Gill-Vallance

Buteyko Breathing Practitioner

For most of my life I suffered from rhinitis, chronic asthma and other immune system deficiencies.  In 2002, I was introduced to The Buteyko Breathing Training Program and within weeks I was able to reduce medication drastically, months later I only carried medication as a safety precaution.

Buteyko had such a positive impact on my life, I now have a strong desire to spread the word and help as many people as possible Dare To Dream and actually enjoy a healthy active lifestyle.

After researching all options I chose to study and train with Patrick McKeown at the Buteyko Clinic, who trained directly under Dr. Buteyko in Russia, where I gained my Diploma as a Breathing Practitioner. I believe my qualifications and experience as a Trainer/Assessor and Surfing/Swimming Coach/Instructor, together with my personal health success story, will help you realize your true potential in all areas of your life too.

Professor Buteyko

Professor Buteyko (1923 – 2003)

In the early 1950’s, Russian Medical Doctor “Professor Konstantin Buteyko”, observed that hyperventilation or over-breathing causes asthma and other conditions.

He labeled it hidden hyperventilation, a condition often not clearly evident to the patient or to the doctor. Professor Buteyko noticed the more breathing increased the worse their condition became.  When their breathing volume was reduced, so did their symptoms and people began to recover.   This led Professor Buteyko to develop his acclaimed and clinically proven techniques, which retrain and optimize peoples breathing.
